This book has been optioned by Dimension Films (the Weinsteins' new company). Michael Cera ("Superbad," "Juno") has been cast as Nick. According to Hollywood Reporter, Miguel Arteta ("The Good Girl," "Chuck & Buck") is set to direct. Filming may start in May for a Dec. '08 release.

The film rights to this novel are owned by Fox Animation, although they don't seem to be doing anything with them. (Let's hope Rupert Murdock doesn't find out how much of his money they spent.)
